The big must have item this winter are snow boots.
Once bulky and something that your mother told you to wear, these boots are now the hot fashion item.

Many of the big named boots sold out over the December holiday season with back orders, if available, running into March or April. If you were able to locate a pair, on eBay for instance, you probably did not get much of a deal and you were grateful to find them.

So what makes these boots so great?


Sheepskin boots are the big one on the 'Iwantit" list for many of us. They can be worn tucked in to jeans, sweats or just to lounge around in. The marketing of these boots tell you that you can be comfortable without socks because the sheepskin lining 'wisks away sweat while keeping your foot comfortable'. Many Hollywood celebrities are photographed wearing them year round in sunny-warm California.

Bad news for the doubters or those who figure they need not purchase these items because the trend will be over very soon. Sheepskin boots, such as those made by Ugg, are sold out for a reason. They are probably the most comfortable item that will ever cover your foot.

Afraid to lay out $200 for the boot? Start simple, with a $100 slipper that may even be easier to find. You will never go back to the synthetic.
