Looking for new heels to wear?
Be realistic.
Are you someone with a lot of money to burn or are you a practical thinker?
A practical thinker should go conservative on the heel while the person with money to burn has a bit of a leeway.
The most comfortable dress heels are the kitten heeled ones. They are about 2” high and can always look nice. Wedge heels are comfortable as well.
Sorry girls, the pointier the toe of the shoe the more likely that the shoe isn’t the healthiest for your feet. Think about it. Toes scrunched together all day long.
The following is a description of the basic anatomy of a shoe.
* Toe box is the tip of the where your toes will go. The toe box is usually either rounded or pointed.
* Vamp is the upper, middle section of a shoe where the laces are typically found.
* Insole is the inside of the shoe.
* The Outsole is what contacts the ground. The softer the sole, the greater the shoe’s ability to absorb shock.
* Heel is the bottom area at the rear of the shoe. The heel provides proper elevation. More pressure is obviously put on your foot with a higher heel.
A low heeled shoe (usually under an inch) will usually offer the most support. A wider toe box is generally preferred for comfort. The higher the heel, the more likely that you are to put stress and pressure on your foot. This can lead to discomfort and a possible injury. If you must wear high heels, consider seeing a podiatrist help you get the proper fit from your shoes. Also, wearing a larger size can allow you to fit a heel cup in the shoe for support and comfort.
