The organized closet

'Tis the season to get organized.
Your closet is something that you look at on a daily basis. Two hours of investment in organization can provided many happy returns in the future. IT can also start you on a better day for months to come.


Get bags, ties etc. off the closet floor and hung up. Invest in hooks, racks, shelves or whatever it takes to do this. Think in terms of what is the easiest way to see it all. If is something that you would only choose on a certain occassion, consider a different storage location.

Clear boxes are wonderful for storage. You can see what is in them in a snap. It is also nice to store like items- such as red sweaters- together.

You've heard of people doing this. Take pictures of shoes and tape them on to the box. This will make it so easy to choose the perfect pair of shoes.


Short on Storage Space?
Consider rotating clothing for the seasons.
Then you can be creative about where to store the off-season clothing.
There may be some empty suitcase, or under-bed in your home that you can use.

Make your closet pretty. Many people like to have nice hangers or like hangers. The problem with those plastic hangers (not the see through ones) is that they are thick and take up more space. Check out the hanger aisle at your local discounter for ideas.
